Independent Panel Report on the Examination in Public of the Draft South West RSS
The independent Panel's report of the Examination in Public (EiP) Panel of the Draft Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) for the South West was published by Government Office South West on Thursday 10 January 2008.
The independent Panel's report contains recommendations about what changes the Panel think should be made to Assembly's Draft RSS. Their recommendations have been made in response to the many representations that were sent to them on the Draft RSS and the discussions which took place at the EiP.
Now the independent Panel's report has been published - what happens next?
The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Hazel Blears, published the Proposed Changes to South West’s long term plan (the Draft Regional Spatial Strategy) on 22 July 2008, which marked the start of a 12 week consultation until 24 October 2008. After considering any further views received as a result of the consultation on the Secretary of State's Proposed Changes, the final Regional Spatial Strategy will be published in early 2009.
