Waste, Energy and Minerals
The Regional Assembly recognises the importance to the region of the development of policy for Waste, Energy and Minerals. It also recognises the strong connections between these areas of policy. A group of Assembly Members were asked to take an overview of these matters and to advise the Assembly in these potentially difficult areas of policy.
This group was disbanded in July 2005 following production of the Regional Waste Strategy (2004) and Draft RSS policies on these areas. The Planning Group is the Member group responsibility for these policy areas.
